The Common is entered into a UELS/HLS Agreement which ends 20 November 2023. A five year extension is being negotiated, but agreement is yet to be reached. Copy document available from H&H Land & Estates upon request. The Buyer would be required to sign up to the Internal Agreement to have the right to graze on the Common.

Stock levels are based on a weekly stocking calendar, brief details are beginning of May – end of November with the exception of one week in July when stock must be removed, with a maximum level of 207 ewes and 83 hoggs, however each week varies. A copy of a previous stocking calendar is available upon request.

Approximate annual income from the existing Scheme is £12,000 per annum.

Hefted Flock
